We are working on writing our second story
already!
We look forward to sharing a story at conferences.
It has been very guided step by step process we have 
followed. 
Here is each part and the ideas we came up with as a class for each part:

Gerbil Amusement Park

Such a fun last day for me with the class! We had a fun flashlight party with our new little books, David's Father by Robert Munsch . And most fun of all, the gerbils got to explore their amusement park we built them. Some videos and photos are below! I hope the students had as much fun as I did today. Story Writing

Today we finished our first story! We began with brainstorming characters and settings and descriptive words for both. We came up with ideas for either a lost story or a stuck story. We thought of 3 ways our character  could try to solve the problem, finally solving it on the third try! Then we came up with interesting ways to end our story such as the character's feelings, a lesson learned or a reflection. We are very proud of our hard work and look forward to sharing our stories at conferences with you in March!
