Gerbil Amusement Park

Students decided on and are very excited to be doing 
an amusement park for our gerbils.
They have come up with the plan to build
a carousel, house, furniture, maze, toy (beyblade)
climbing roller coaster, bumper car, cave and tunnel 
for Marshmallow and Coca Cola.
We are hopeful for some of the following materials
Cereal boxes, cracker boxes
plastic water bottles
toilet paper roll and paper towel rolls
Lego
Lego wheels (large)
Dublo or mega blocks
water bottle lids
small bell
paper plates
straws
fabric
stuffing or cotton balls
popsicle sticks
coloured consturction paper
A large box (2 meters long by 2 meters wide by 1 meter tall or smaller)

Such a fun last day for me with the class! We had a fun flashlight party with our new little books, David's Father by Robert Munsch . Story Writing

Today we finished our first story! We began with brainstorming characters and settings and descriptive words for both. We came up with ideas for either a lost story or a stuck story. We thought of 3 ways our character  could try to solve the problem, finally solving it on the third try! Then we came up with interesting ways to end our story such as the character's feelings, a lesson learned or a reflection. We are very proud of our hard work and look forward to sharing our stories at conferences with you in March!
