Thankful Writing

Tuesday, we read the book 

"Thanks for Thanksgiving",

a story about all the things a child was thankful for.

As we read the story, we discussed the things we were thankful for 

as well, from our family to sports children get to play

to our cozy houses to the good food 

we get to eat to the fun we have in our snowy weather!

Students followed the story pattern of beginning each sentence with

"Thanks for"

as they wrote the things they were thankful for.

Some were able to elaborate

on what they were thankful by adding the reasons why or by adding

describing words!
